$49.00

Despite your best efforts, conflict will arise at your healthcare practice. It’s normal for situations to happen where people are frustrated or upset time-to-time when working with your business. Knowing the techniques on how to handle and de-escalate workplace conflict situations is important for the safety of your employees and patients.

De-escalation is the skills and strategies designed to reduce the potential for future aggression or violence, through understanding, managing, and resolving conflict.

This webinar is part of a series with Jerry McCormick, President of Personal Safety at Work, on workplace safety. While all of the topics in the series are important in understanding workplace safety, they can be viewed as standalone trainings.

Part 1, Avoid Being a Victim of Crime: This is a guide for employees’ personal safety at work, home, and elsewhere. It focuses on developing or improving your workplace safety program and gives you tools to deal with dangerous situations. It provides the key steps to provide protection and 6 actions that can be implemented to feel and be safer.

Part 2, Keeping Your Facility Safe: This takes a deeper look into facility safety by looking at where your facility is located and the environment it’s in to make changes to enhance safety. There’s a review of 5 scenarios/case studies that highlight different risk profiles of healthcare practices. It covers 10 of the most common risks that need to be addressed to keep your facility safe.

Part 3, De-Escalation Techniques for Workplace Conflict training webinar: This training will teach skills needed to manage and understand signs that a situation is getting out of control and specific steps to regain control and move forward in a productive way. Action steps and communication skills are provided for how to improve a conflict situation with patients, outsiders, vendors, and employees. You’ll learn how to spot warning signs for potential conflict, how to engage with suspicious people, and how to use your own facility and space to stay safe. Jerry has trained a number of healthcare practices throughout the years and each one has said that learning de-escalation techniques for conflict has been beneficial to their teams.

On-Site Consulting Services Available

Along with your on-site full service program, you’ll receive all the compliance components you need to be OSHA and HIPAA compliant. You have access to online training for new hires or those that missed any on-site training.

What to expect when we visit: Your TMC consultant will go through your facility and do a thorough facility audit with an electronic report, go over the Compliance manual, and provide on-site training.

For our OSHA clients, we provide you with a complimentary spill kit, secondary labels, and meet with your Safety Officer and review their duties.

For HIPAA clients, your facility audit will identify any privacy and security concerns, we’ll provide you with a risk analysis report for your facility, and we’ll meet with your Privacy/Security Officer to review their duties.

Whether you choose us for OSHA, HIPAA, or both, we will work with you to achieve compliance to create a long-lasting relationship rather than just providing a how-to guide leaving you to do all the work. Our goal is to be your primary resource for HIPAA, OSHA, and Infection Control compliance.
